35 families receive humanitarian attention in the Nunalbi Alto Ulbí shelter (Nariño)

The Victims Unit delivered food and hygiene kits to 132 people displaced by the attack on the pipeline on February 4 in the municipality of Barbacoas.

In Nariño, as a subsidiary support in assisting the inhabitants of Alto Ulbí Nunalbi shelter, jurisdiction of Barbacoas municipality (Nariño), due to the massive displacement carried out in February, the Victims' Unit delivered immediate humanitarian aid kits to 35 families, consisting of food, toiletries and mats.

During this visit, the process of humanitarian assistance was explained in the immediacy of emergency and the three fundamental principles to begin the process of return once the families affected by the massive displacement are valued and included in the Single Victim Registry.

The territorial director of Unit in Nariño, William Pinzón Fernández, made an emotional call to the inhabitants of the shelter to denounce any attempt of fraud before the competent authorities since all proceeding, delivery and humanitarian aid on the part of the Victims Unit is Free and added that: "there is a coordination with the Mayor's Office of Barbacoas to assure immediate attention to all of  you, in this way the route is activated for this type of emergency cases in which all the institutions must act from their reach, in first instance the municipality, then the department and finally the nation".

The Victims Unit carries out the delivery of humanitarian aid within the framework of Law 1448 of 2011 and its regulatory decrees, of Law 387 of 1997 and in compliance with Order 173 of 2012.
