
Victims in their day were accompanied in Villavicencio
In the event organized by the Municipal Committee of effective participation of victims, a productive exhibition was presented throughout the day in Los Libertadores square in the capital of Meta, where the victims took the floor through theater, poetry and singing.



The department of Meta commemorated in an agenda that was developed mainly in Villavicencio the 'National Day of memory and solidarity with the victims'.
In the event organized by the Municipal Bureau of effective participation of victims, a productive sample was presented throughout the day in Los Libertadores plaza, with the participation of victims who produced footwear, leather goods, edible products, handicrafts, textiles, among other elements, that evidenced their creative capacity.
Simultaneously on the main platform, the victims took the floor through theater, poetry, singing and a number of cultural presentations with which they sought to call for reflection on the relevance of peace in the country.
Elainer Castañeda, general coordinator of the Municipal Table of Victims, said that "we have had great assistance, which makes us happy to be able to show ourselves as actors who seek to position themselves in the local economy, as well as raise our voice to tell our stories, our pains and our concerns about the validity of the Victims Law, we ask that you be given more time so that you can serve many more victims".
For his part, Carlos Pardo Alezones, territorial director for Meta and Llanos of the Unit said that "the department with more than 197,948 victims in the Single Registry, paid tribute senses where the ability of survivors of armed conflict to leave forward in the productive lines, in scenarios of reconciliation and reflection were the heart of these events. Today we know that the State must continue working for the reparation and attention to victims that are still pending, it is a challenge that we hope to fulfill institutionally, in addition to continuing to work for the guarantee of their rights and the non-repetition of more violent acts".
The victims thanked the support of local governments, representatives, cooperation agencies and civil society for joining and supporting this important day for them.
